Use TextMaker Viewer 2010 to read docx files without MS Office

TextMaker Viewer 2010 is a free tool which allows the user to open any kind of file which is created using a word processor like MS Word 2003, MS Word 2007, OpenOffice or TextMaker. It also supports the files created using latest MS Word 2010.

If you are sending some file to someone and you are not sure whether the recipient has the same version of word as yours then you can suggest him to download this small and easy to use freeware.

It is very light and requires very less resources as compared to other word processors. Yet it can open large files without any problems. Various file formats supported by this freeware are:

Detect and remove autorun.inf from Pen Drive

Autorun.inf is the file which determines which program will execute automatically when you open or connect your pen drive. Majority of the virus programs use this file to spread themselves. So if not needed this file should be removed from the pen drive. But it is not an easy task to remove the virus affected autorun.inf from the pen drive.

So for novice users I will recommend to use Autorun eater. Autorun eater automatically detects the autorun.inf file and if it is actually infected by a virus then it can also tell you the files associated with it.

This can be really helpful because most of the time people don’t know what to delete after deleting the autorun.inf.

To add some more value to this software the developer has added some more tools to fix common windows problems like disabled task manager , registry editor or hidden folder settings.

My new HP Compaq 510 [Review]

Last month I bought a new Compaq 510 notebook for my self :D . So just wanted to share my experience with you people. First have a look at the specs. It is not so highly configured but still its a decent choice if you are planning to use it for office work.

  • Battery Li-Ion 6-cell
  • Weight: 2.27 kg
  • Wireless 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN
  • 3 USB 2.0 ports
  • Integrated WebCam
  • Integrated microphone
  • Built in Card Reader
  • Bluetooth
  • 1-year warranty

And the best part is its price. I got it for only 25000/- INR . That is just around 550 USD.

It comes with a FreeDOS installed in it. You can install the OS of your choice later on.I have made it dual boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.10. Both are running perfectly. The performance is up to the mark. Did not have to install any additional drivers. Everything was running fine in Windows 7 and Ubuntu. The looks are pretty simple and that is how I like it.

Convert your text in to image using Hidetxt

We often need to convert our text into image so that others just can not easily edit it or tamper it. And if you are blogger or a webmaster then you will need it too often. Hidetxt is an online application which can help you to turn your text into image easily with just one click.

Once you get their on the site you will see a text box at the bottom of the page. Enter all your text their. You can also customize the background and foreground color for the image.
